Halophytes, such as Euphorbia tirucalli, are used for medicinal and economic purposes, well the recovery of degraded environments through bioremediation or phytoremediation. In parallel, Vigna unguiculata, which also has high tolerance to saline environments, nutritional value generating interest. Furthermore, biofuel production can be reduced in cost complexity if we use plant raw material that grow salinized poor soils. The reduction arable land, due increased soil salinization depletion freshwater resources, poses a threat agricultural production. this work aimed evaluate stress V. unguiculata seeds generated from chemical elicitation E. tirucalli solution Spongia tosta 10DH. first experiment, cultivated water with 10% solutions obtained aerial parts E.tirucalli coast Rio de Janeiro. second were treated hormetic - 5H Seropedica/RJ 10DH solution. all experiments there was inhibition germination associated seed engorgement. our tests, therefore, evaluated extracts suggested will able act phytoremediation agents, via desalination Na++/K+ pump mechanism.
